Why am I doing this? Because I have been there too and I believe in creating what needs to happen. Most of my DIY services are direct requests from business owners and freelancers I've met at networking events and coworking jellies. It's often necessary to do records ourselves and it is also important to get professional support and information. I couldn't find what I wanted out there and spent hundreds of hours finding out. That's why I want to help others in my position, being able to talk to a professional about your business and your needs and concerns.

Micro business owners, freelancers and new businesses often feel too nervous to admit needing guidance and support with financial records. I started One Man Band Bookkeeping to provide what I couldn't find provision for myself - microbiz help and support with what isn't freely available, the detailed information to what your business needs rather than generics. It's incredible what isn't out there and it's hard to know what applies to your situation and what doesn't until you've already been there, at which point of course, you no longer need it as much. And of course, often the cashflow isn't there to pay for full time support or full fledged accountancy fees.
